BioGreetings. I am Kagemaru, chairman of the Duel Academy. I was jealous of the youth culture so I decided to use the powers of the Legenday Demon Cards to obtain eternal life. However, I required the fighting spirit of duelists, so I built Duel Academy upon a remote island and sealed the Demon Cards upon it to absorb the fighting spirits of the students. After a while, I returned to claim my prize and defeat Sir Judai Yuki in an attempt to absorb his fighting spirit and become a god. Needless to say, my plan failed and I ended up on a stretcher off the island after Sir Judai accidently broke my back.
